Hachim Mastour Cant Make His Debut With Malaga For Being Minor

Rabat – After moving to Malaga FC on Monday, Hachim Mastour has been looking forward to make his debut with the Spanish giants.Yet, his dreams have hit a major hurdle, as sources suggest he cannot currently play for being “minor”.A report by Marca said Malaga FC has not yet received FIFA’s authorization to formalize Mastour’s transfer because he is still a minor. Under Article 19 of FIFA’s International Transfer Regulations, athletes’ transfers are only permitted if the player is over the age of 18.However, the same article stipulates that international transfers of minor players are permitted under three limited circumstances, and such exceptions may only be granted after evaluation by the sub-committee of the Players’ Status Committee.Marca said Malaga FC has initiated measures to find a solution for this problem and allow the 17-year-old athlete to play as soon as possible.Mastour moved to the Andalucian side on Monday before the close of the summer transfer window. The former Real Madrid’s target contract includes a buy-back option and in case Malaga FC opts to purchase the midfielder at the end of the season for a fee of around EUR 5 million.Multiple media reports suggested that he decided to join Malaga FC on loan because he did not want to sit on AC Milan’s bench under Serbian manager Siniša Mihajlovi.A previous report by Marca said Mastour was not on Malaga’s radar, adding that his transfer was a personal request by the Club’s Owner and President, Abdullah bin Nasser Al-Thani.
