I agree with the texting and driving , god I just hate it!!!! Report Reply 0 replies · active 319 weeks ago 0 Vote up Vote down Caring Cherokee · 319 weeks ago Texting and driving? Cell phones are only one of the many distractions possible on any given trip. Could it not be “she passed one truck and thinking it to be the only one and the moved back into the passing lane”? She may have dropped the right hand wheels off the road and over corrected. Could not speed have something to do with it? Cell phones My experience on four lane roads has been that no one drives at the speed limit. Most are driving at least 10 to 15 miles an hour over the posted speed limit. Some drive as 90 to a 100 MPH. Why is this allowed. Report Reply 0 replies · active 319 weeks ago +1 Vote up Vote down Larry · 319 weeks ago Who says it is allowed. Tickets are written everyday for speeding, so I wouldn’t say it is allowed. The are any number of reasons for the accident. I the mentioned causes are goods one. I suggest we let the trooper do the investigation as to the cause and then we will know for sure. Report Reply 3 replies · active 318 weeks ago -1 Vote up Vote down dfasd · 319 weeks ago Yes larry they do write tickets but not enough because it obviously is not impacting people enough to slow down. Report Reply +1 Vote up Vote down Larry · 319 weeks ago Unless you restrict the vehicles, there will be speeders, no matter how many tickets you write. The officers do there job and do the best they can to catch the speeders and other violators, but there are not enough officer to do it all. Report Reply +2 Vote up Vote down Allen Ludden · 318 weeks ago Troopers write tickets for people that speed well above the speed of other traffic. They let people go a little over just so the flow of traffic keeps flowing safely. This is an issue of someone just not paying enough attention. We’ve all seen people drive up to a construction zone where the signs say to merge left or right now but they speeded around everyone to get a cpl of cars ahead. Just impatient drivers. Sorry for the young lady’s family and I hope Dave is gonna be fine. Report Reply +8 Vote up Vote down David Edge · 319 weeks ago So because its a young female she was texting? If it was an over weight person would you have said they are eating? Or someone with tats and leather on would they have been doing drugs? We don’t know for sure what the cause of the accident was and until we do how about we focus on the fact that someone lost there life and others were hurt. Praying for the family’s involved Report Reply 0 replies · active 319 weeks ago +1 Vote up Vote down wellmom · 319 weeks ago Well to be fair other news outlets are reporting she passed a witness right before crashing and he saw her texting. Either way, it’s tragic what has happened and a young woman has lost her life. Thankfully no one else was killed, instead of shaming her, we should be keeping her family in our thoughts and prayers. Report Reply 0 replies · active 319 weeks ago +2 Vote up Vote down asadfriend · 318 weeks ago She was an amazing young woman who I am grateful to have known. It upsets me that we can’t just mourn the loss of a loved one but bring up the negative in every situation. A little positive thought is all that was necessary.
