The ministry of external affairs (MEA) is going to summon the Indian envoys to various nations for a briefing on the Commonwealth Games (CWG) in the national capital. MEA officials told Headlines Today that the ministry is being flooded with queries from the participating nations as they have been concerned about security and other arrangements during the Games next month. The anxious governments of the Commonwealth countries are approaching the respective Indian missions enquiring about the preparations for the Games, particularly security. They are also raising questions on infrastructure and health fronts. The MEA has therefore approached the cabinet secretary to get the CWG organising committee to hold regular briefings for envoys from the Commonwealth countries. It is also planning to call the Indian envoys for a briefing on the Games.
